The social team's first job will be to welcome the family upon their arrival! This team will further assist the family in getting acquainted with Holland and US culture. An ideal team member will be genuinely interested in learning about the family's culture, arranging social outings, and may become good long term friends with the family.
The Education Team will assist in the enrollment of children in schools, aid in corresponding paperwork, serve as a liaison between the family and school, request translator for parent teacher conferences, and attend additional meetings as needed.

Family members will be attending  community supported ESL classes a few days a week. The English as a Second Language team will assist and support the family in their efforts to learn English by assisting in study lessons on the days of the week ESL classes do not meet. Tutoring lessons are organized in an easy to follow format. Bethany Christian Services has some training sessions for tutors.

The Financial Team will assist the family with understanding US currency, setting up bank accounts, using debit cards and check books, establishing a budget, and understanding how to pay bills.

The housing team will help secure a home, facilitate donations of household items, and organize the move in day. The team will turn the rental property into a home welcoming our sponsored family.

The Transportation Team will assist with bringing sponsored families to ESL classes, appointments, or other transportation needs as they arise. The team will also work with the family to understand and feel comfortable with public transportation, or other opportunities to promote independence.

The administrative team will assist the coordinators with maintaining documents, writing updates, and maintaining this website.
The employment team will help secure gainful employment. The family will need help filling out employment applications, preparing for interviews, and filling out employment tax forms. Potential employment will need to be reasonably accessible to public transportation or other dependable transportation.

The medical team will keep track of the family's initial medical needs.  This will include accompanying the family to appointments for basic medical check-ups, immunizations, and dental appointments.
